Lady Gaga - The Edge of Glory
I'm on the edge of glory, and I'm hanging on a moment of truth
I'm on the edge of glory, and I'm hanging on a moment with you
This is one of my absolute favorites off of Lady Gaga's new album. Not only is there the deep meaning from the lyrics about your last moment on Earth, the moment of truth, but it's upbeat, pop-dance + jazz kind of song. I'm not a fan of jazz, but just the fact that she combines that into her music makes me happy. Just like how she used the beginning of Czardas by Monti in "Alejandro". Yes, I totally spazzed out when I first listened to that song because I'm such a classical music freak (ok, "Czardas" isn't considered classical, but whatever) and it's such a famous violin piece. Too bad only violinists know it. gotta love them gypsy songs!! I also love it when she sings in different languages, too.
So I hope you guys didn't mind me posting pics with words on them this week. There were some things on my mind when I posted the first one and I decided to just slap words on some photos. Plus I love typography and quotes. I hope you guys also realized that all the pics, except the first one I put up (#5), were ones that I took (last year).
#1 was from May in my backyard
#2 was from March in NYC. Yes, this is what the New York City skyline looks like at 4AM on the Brooklyn Bridge. Gorgeous, huh?
#3 was from February in my front yard
#4 was from July in Taiwan
#5 was for Daniel in reference to this post
In case you were wondering, the posts were counting down to today, FRIDAY
